HERSHEY ENTERTAINMENT & RESORTS COMPANY POLICIES AND GUEST EXPECTATIONS

Welcome to the Hershey Entertainment & Resorts Company (“HE&R”) Policies and Guest Expectations. We endeavor for every guest visiting HE&R’s properties to thoroughly enjoy their experience. If you are planning to visit an HE&R property, we ask that you respect our Policies and Expectations to help ensure all guests have a safe and sweet time. Any guest who is not able to adhere to these Policies and Expectations or has violated these Policies and Expectations may be asked to leave the HE&R property (without a refund) and may be prohibited from returning to or being on any HE&R property.

Adherence to Policies, Rules, and Laws

Guests are expected to abide by and comply with all policies, rules, warnings, directives, and/or instructions that are posted, spoken, or otherwise listed or communicated to guests at the HE&R properties. Guests must also comply with local, state, and federal laws.

Alcohol

Alcoholic beverages cannot be brought into any HE&R property without the prior written approval of HE&R, except as follows:

• Alcohol brought onto the Hershey Resorts properties can only be consumed by guests 21 or older and must remain in guest rooms and at campsites for guests staying at Hersheypark Camping Resort.
• Alcohol brought onto the Hersheypark Entertainment Complex can only be consumed by guests 21 or older in designated tailgating parking lots.

Drones (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles)

HE&R strictly prohibits the operation of or use of any unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), commonly known as "Drones," on, from, or above the HE&R properties without specific written permission from HE&R. This includes all UAVs regardless of size, weight, or purpose.

Guest Courtesy

All guests are expected to treat other guests, HE&R employees, and all other people at the HE&R properties in a respectful and courteous manner. Any unlawful, unsafe, disruptive, offensive, inappropriate, discriminatory, or disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated.

Pets and Service Animals

Emotional support animals, comfort animals, and pets are only permitted at Hersheypark Camping Resort, subject to the property’s pet policies. Trained service animals, which are generally dogs or miniature horses that have been individually trained or are in the process of being trained to do work or perform tasks for an individual with a disability, are welcome at all HE&R properties, subject to the below requirements.

• Service animals must be under the control of the handler and remain on a leash or in a harness at all times.
• HE&R employees are not able to take control of service animals at any time for any reason.
• Service animals must be housebroken and well behaved. Corrective action must be immediately taken if a service animal is not behaving appropriately (e.g., barking, growling, jumping up on or lunging at other guests or HE&R employees).
• Service animals must remain on the floor and not on dining chairs or tables in food and beverage locations.
• Service animals may use any green space at the HE&R properties for voiding waste; however, guests are responsible for cleaning up after the animal.
• Due to the nature of some attractions at the HE&R properties, service animals may not be permitted to participate.
• Service animals are not permitted to enter the water of any attraction or water features/fountains at the HE&R properties (including indoor and outdoor pools). Service animals are permitted up to the water’s edge.

Photos and Videos

• HE&R uses surveillance cameras at the HE&R properties as part of its overall safety and security program.
• By entering the HE&R properties, guests and other individuals grant HE&R the right to photograph, film, videotape, record, or otherwise reproduce their image and/or voice, which may include, but is not limited to, on-ride or roaming photography at Hersheypark. HE&R may use such materials for any purpose including marketing, promotions, on social media, live streaming, for safety and security, and for legal, criminal, or other investigations, without payment or consideration to any person.
• Re-entry photo validation is required to re-enter Hersheypark. Using a secure digital photo comparison system, when guests exit the Park a digital photo will be taken of them. At the time of re-entry, a new digital photo will be taken and compared against your exit photo using an automated process to validate your admission. • Guests are welcome to take photos and videos for personal, non-commercial use during their visit, provided it does not disrupt HE&R’s operations or compromise the safety, privacy, and respect for all HE&R guests and employees.
• Commercial photography, filming, recording, or content creation (including for promotional or influencer purposes) is strictly prohibited without HE&R’s prior written approval.
• HE&R reserves the right to restrict, limit, or prohibit photography or videography at any time and in any area of the HE&R properties, including for safety, operational, or legal reasons.
• Photos, videos, and associated data of guests is collected, used, and stored in accordance with HE&R’s Privacy Policy.

Prohibited Activities

The following activities are prohibited at all HE&R properties:

• Engaging in acts or behaviors that HE&R determines in its sole discretion are a safety concern or that disturbs or interrupts HE&R operations or another guest’s experience, such as the use of profane language, unauthorized recreational activities, and horseplay. This includes refusing to follow verbal or written directives or failure to cooperate with HE&R employees.
• Fighting or physical force/aggression of any kind (including verbal and physical threats or assaults), using or displaying obscene, offensive, or sexually explicit language or gestures, or racial, religious, or ethnic slurs, including any display on apparel or via body art likely to create a disturbance or a danger to other persons.
• Harassing/threatening behavior, sexual misconduct, or lewd behavior including inappropriate interactions with guests or employees.
• Entering restricted or prohibited areas including, but not limited to: employee only areas, attraction areas, playing surfaces, performance areas, bathrooms and locker rooms not open to the public, and all mechanical rooms.
• Climbing perimeter fences, trees, planters, handrails, animal exhibits, or other areas not designed or designated for climbing.
• Unauthorized soliciting of any kind, whether commercial, religious, educational or otherwise, or conducting any unauthorized commercial activities, including solicitations of money or other contributions or donations. This includes the unauthorized sale of admission tickets.
• Distributing printed or recorded materials of any kind unless prior written approval has been obtained.
• The sale of goods or services, or the display of goods or services, unless prior written approval has been obtained.
• Unauthorized events, speeches, or use of any flag, banner, sign, or other material for commercial purposes, or as part of a demonstration.
• Theft of any kind.
• Defacing, damaging, or destroying any property belonging to HE&R, its vendors, contractors, or other individuals. Cutting down trees, branches, bushes, or any other foliage is not permitted.
• Affixing or pasting of collateral or ornaments on walls, doors, or hallways is prohibited, unless approved in advance by HE&R.
• Removing or moving furniture, equipment, or other property without HE&R’s prior approval.
• Obstructing sidewalks, entrances, driveways, patios, vestibules, stairways, corridors, halls, lobbies, or landings. This includes obstructing or interfering with the free flow of vehicular or pedestrian traffic, or otherwise engaging in any unauthorized gathering.
• Sitting on floors, planters, handrails, stairs, escalators, trash receptacles, or other areas not specifically designed for seating.
• Using hoverboards, skateboards, roller skates/blades, and scooters.
• Using occupied strollers or wheelchairs on escalators at the Hershey Resorts properties.
• Except for guests staying at the Hershey Resorts properties, overnight parking at the HE&R properties without the consent of HE&R.
• Except for guests staying at Hersheypark Camping Resort, sleeping in a parked vehicle, to include recreational vehicles and campers, without consent from HE&R.
• Open fires are not permitted except in provided fire rings at Hersheypark Camping Resort. Hanging any clothing, towels, bedding or other similar items over or on balconies at the Hershey Resorts properties or from fire suppression sprinklers.
• Tampering with alarms, smoke detectors, or fire suppression sprinkler systems.

Prohibited Items

The items listed below are prohibited at all HE&R properties. HE&R will not store or safeguard prohibited items.

• Firearms, ammunition, knives, explosives, mace, pepper spray, and other weapons of any kind or objects or toys that appear to be weapons are prohibited. Weapons are considered to be any item that could endanger public safety. 
• Illegal items or substances.
• Any other items HE&R deems to be inappropriate, disruptive, or harmful.

Quiet Hours

Guests staying at the Hershey Resorts properties must observe quiet hours from 9:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Additionally, generators, diesel engines or bright exterior lighting may not operate at Hersheypark Camping Resort during the quiet hours.

Smoking

All HE&R buildings, guest rooms, corridors, public/meeting spaces, restrooms, cabins, pool areas, ZooAmerica North American Wildlife Park, and The Boardwalk At Hersheypark are smoke-free areas, and smoking is strictly prohibited. Smoking is permitted only in areas identified as designated smoking areas at the HE&R Properties. This smoking policy pertains to the use of tobacco, e-cigarettes, and other products that produce a vapor or smoke. Smoking marijuana or using other illegal substances is not permitted at any time. A room recovery fee will be charged for smoking in guest rooms or balconies or patios at the Hershey Resorts properties.

Reporting Violations and Suspicious Activity

Guests are encouraged to report any violations of these Guest Policies and Expectations or unlawful or suspicious activity to the nearest HE&R employee or Security Officer.
